My creative space....

I had a sudden urge to clean and organize my sewing room! It is where all the magic happens! :) I had a few book shelves from the shop that when I moved didn't fit & I have an amazing collection of Black Apple prints that needed to be hung as well as my ne AshleyG porcelain! I love this room.. it is an eclectic mix of me, right down to my wonderwoman costume I wore when I was 4! I also added a little chalkboard paint behind a vinatge frame (with no glass)I love the way it turned out! I have been feeling sooo creative latley and inspired... not sure but it might be all the positive energy from the new shop!

I love antiquing....

I don't know if it is the economy or what(I hate it when people say that..), but the last few times I have went out to the antique mall I came home with some majorly cute stuff and the prices were GREAT! I went looking for a lamp for the shop.. not only did I find a vintage lamp, it was only $10.00 & had been rewired! :) I also found 4 like new vintage aprons.. one with the tags on it from the 50's, a cute set of retro butterfly s&p shakers, and the cutest clear bracelet with silver glitter in it! Love it! A good day for sure!

They have a flea market once in awhile and the last time Lesley and I went I only spent $20.00 and came home with a ton of stuff! There is one this Sunday..I can't wait! :)

I was up very late last night sewing, trying to restock from the weekend! I made some super cute skirts!

What a week....

We celebrated the release of the movie Public Enemies, went to see Los Lonely boys at Waterfest(It was AWESOME!!), I was vending at the Appleton Market Saturday(It was great). I had the shop open for Gallery Walk( Thank you everyone who came out!) and last but not least did some sparklers and saw the fireworks (forgot my camera)on Lake Winnebago! What an amazing week.. I am a little burnt out.. sold out of most skirts and will be spending the next two days sewing and making new things and getting a package ready for Anthology!

Gallery walk & Happy 4th of July!

It is July already and this weekend is gallery walk. My Featured artist is my talented and good friend Lesley of School of charms! Come down Saturday from 6-9 pm to see her beautiful one of a kind vintage recreations!

Public Enemies... the Celebration!

Wow! Yesterday was soooo much fun & so busy! The kids were running around the park getting autographs from all the extras! The music at Live at lunch was AWESOME(all 30's songs) a beautiful singer singing beautiful songs! There were soooo many people out. The stayed open until 4:30! All in all very exhausting but sooo much fun! At the end I even walked to the shops with the kids so they could get their own trading cards! House of Heroes did a great job... and they were sooooo cool! I was handning out Amelia Earhardt( my fav.) I still have a bunch if you didn't get yours yesterday.. stop in 10-4 Wed. -Fri. & this Saturday is gallery walk.. more on that!

today & celebrate with us the premier of Johnny Depp's new movie Public Enemies.. filmed right here in little ole' Oshkosh! A special live at lunch at noon.. raffle.. car show.. trading cards and sooo much more! I have a t-shirts and posters as well as many new flapper style headbands! Come and check it out! I will be open 10-4!

New (old) shop pics part 2

What a great weekend we had... the market was great! I think I almost had record sales again! Thank you everyone! :) I even ran into a girl that I went to school with since I was in grade school! She just moved to Appleton! We also got 4 free tickets to a water park in the Dells from our neighbor.. while it was fun, it was a bit chilly! I am just gald the park was free.. Jada loved it and went on some crazy waterslides that I am glad she did with Jake while I was with Max! I would of freaked out! She is quite the daredevil/thrill seeker!!! Yikes! We ended up driving a 1/2 hour to my parents and spent the afternoon swimming in their pool and grilling out! They litterally saved the day! It is sooo pretty where I grew up.. driving through all the hills and grass and farm land in the little beetle with the moon roof open was a perfect end to a fun day!
